As a Cloud Architect, you will join a team to develop and rapidly deploy next-generation Space Sensing capabilities for the Military. You will design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions to support mission-critical operations and inform technical strategy. Your daily responsibilities include researching current environments to recommend tools, guiding teams through complex cloud challenges, and ensuring standards are met during cloud migrations. You will utilize expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to build hybrid-cloud architectures integrating on-premises systems. Required skills include experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, and automation. You will also apply prototyping techniques to develop cloud platform roadmaps. The role requires a Secret clearance and an Associate's degree in a STEM discipline to solve critical defense and space sensing problems.
Design and develop secure cloud-based architectures to support mission-critical military operations.
Lead the rapid deployment of next-generation Space Sensing capabilities using cloud technologies.
Develop and implement comprehensive cloud strategies and roadmaps for enterprise clients.
Recommend specific tools and solutions based on research of on-premises and hybrid resources.
Guide engineering teams through complex cloud migrations and technical challenges.
Ensure all cloud solutions meet established security, compliance, and technical standards.
Apply prototyping techniques to evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise IT systems and cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
8+ years of experience leading architecture, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and development teams driving automation and modernization.
Experience designing and delivering hybrid-cloud architectures that integrate on-premises systems with public cloud platforms.
Ability to apply structured evaluation and prototyping techniques to industry trends to develop a cloud platform roadmap.
Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop and implement cloud strategies.
Associate's degree in a STEM discipline such as Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
Experience leading DevSecOps teams and implementing automation tools (preferred).
Experience with Strategic Missile Warning architecture, ground antenna, networking, distributed systems, or data orchestration (preferred).
Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions and Platform Engineering tools like OpenShift, Jenkins, or Kubernetes (preferred).
TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Architect Professional, or Google Cloud Architect Certification (preferred).
