Principal Business Intelligence Manager

What you'll do

• Define target-state architecture for data foundations including domain mapping, source system integration, and semantic logic.
• Design reusable semantic-layer and metrics-as-code patterns to support Tableau, Databricks, and AI workflows.
• Establish and enforce standards for metric definitions, taxonomy, and cross-system identity resolution across business lines.
• Lead multi-year roadmap planning and provide build-versus-buy recommendations for analytics tooling and governance systems.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to set requirements for production pipelines and platform implementations.
• Establish quality monitoring, documentation, and reliability standards for critical data products and reporting surfaces.
• Mentor senior BI managers and analysts by shaping technical standards and strategic direction for the organization.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, analytics engineering, or business intelligence data-product leadership.
• Expert SQL and data modeling skills to design architectures across multiple business domains and source systems.
• Deep expertise in semantic-layer design, metrics-as-code patterns, and data governance at organizational scale.
• Strong understanding of how AI systems, machine-learning workflows, and natural-language query experiences consume governed data.
• Experience shaping taxonomy, source-of-truth, identity resolution, or semantic governance standards across competing stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating or influencing analytics-engineering tools such as Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, or Tableau.
• Excellent communication skills to gain alignment across product, engineering, finance, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience in customer experience, operations, or marketplace domains (preferred).
