Principal Architect, Express AI Foundations

What you'll do

• Architect the complete AI stack for Adobe Express, including Agentic, Imaging, Motion, and Personalization AI.
• Develop end-to-end systems integrating microservices, data pipelines, LLM orchestration, and evaluation frameworks.
• Build large-scale data and inference infrastructure using Spark, Kafka, and Flink for model training and deployment.
• Develop high-performance runtime services with strong observability, fault tolerance, and latency guarantees.
• Implement caching and storage tactics to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness for various AI workloads.
• Lead the development of experimentation systems, session-level analytics, and quality metrics for continuous improvement.
• Drive architectural strategy to connect ML models, reasoning engines, and data streams into adaptive systems.
• Mentor senior engineers and scientists on architecture, experimentation, and AI system composition.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems AI infrastructure or ML platform engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or Go with an emphasis on distributed systems, cloud-native deployment, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, model routing, and multi-model inference.
• Deep understanding of ML and LLM fundamentals including training, fine-tuning, deployment, and evaluation workflows.
• Proven expertise in building and scaling data pipelines, real-time streaming systems, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
• Familiarity with Agentic AI patterns such as reasoning loops, memory persistence, and multi-agent coordination.
• Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field (preferred).
• Experience architecting AI assistants, build agents, or multimodal creative systems (preferred).
