Principal Applications Administrator

What you'll do

• Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions for systemic application issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve support issues for complex, business-critical applications.
• Install and maintain enterprise software, laboratory hardware, and configuration changes.
• Lead the development of package software modification requirements and interface design specifications.
• Manage project lifecycles by developing work plans and tracking task status.
• Execute change requests and perform necessary system qualifications.
• Provide technical support for server-based laboratory applications and analytical software.
• Train and mentor staff on systems and procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential job functions.
• Expert understanding of server administration and architecture for Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Expert level ability to interact with relational databases, primarily Oracle and some SQL Server.
• Advanced support knowledge of desktop operating systems and productivity applications like MS Office, Project, and Visio.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex, business-critical application issues.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in environments requiring personal protective equipment.
