The Principal Agentic AI Engineering, VP - State Street Investment Management joins the Data, Analytics & AI Services team to own the design and engineering of a modern AI ecosystem. This leader will manage an agile team to build scalable agentic AI capabilities, including multi-agent workflows, human-in-the-loop command centers, and autonomous agentic workflows. Key responsibilities involve designing agentic solution architectures, governance, and infrastructure pipelines for the Investment Management business. The role requires hands-on expertise with Python, SQL, Rust, and platforms like Google Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, and AWS Bedrock. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in handling unstructured data sources like 13F filings and news. The position focuses on implementing cloud-agnostic, open-architecture AI platforms and integrating protocols such as A2A and MCP to solve complex financial data problems.
Lead an agile engineering team to deliver scalable agentic AI solutions for the Investment Management business.
Design agentic workflows, platform component enablement, and governance for registration, security, observability, and monitoring.
Lead the implementation of agentic AI architecture patterns, framework selection, and deployment strategies.
Build and manage enterprise agentic infrastructure pipelines using cloud-agnostic approaches across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
Develop and implement multi-agent workflows, including human-in-the-loop command centers and autonomous agentic workflows.
Coach and mentor junior engineers to build a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Execute cross-border initiatives to strengthen engineering standards and best practices with global stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
10+ years of technology experience in financial services, including senior-level engineering leadership.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing multi-agent workflows, including human-in-the-loop and autonomous agentic workflows.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing modern, open-architecture AI platforms supporting ML/DL, GenAI, and agentic AI (Google Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI preferred).
Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise agentic infrastructure pipelines using cloud-agnostic approaches across major providers.
Proficiency with modern AI platforms (e.g., Google Gemini Enterprise, AWS Bedrock) and programming languages like Python, SQL, and Rust.
4+ years of experience working with unstructured data sources.
Experience serving as an Agentic Engineer within a financial institution (preferred).
