JOB TITLE: Agentic Product Builder, Sr. Associate - State Street Investment Management
The Data, Analytics and AI Services team is seeking an Agentic AI Builder, Officer to design, prototype, and implement AI-enabled business workflows across the investment management organization. This builder-oriented role involves translating business processes into practical agentic AI solutions under strict governance, risk, and control standards. You will build AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and semi-autonomous systems that operate on approved data products and enterprise AI platforms. Key responsibilities include implementing human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring performance metrics, and optimizing token costs. Required skills include programming in Python and SQL, prompt engineering, and experience with large language models, AWS Bedrock, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code. You must navigate complex domain contexts involving model risk, security, auditability, and operational resiliency within a regulated enterprise environment.
Translate business processes into practical, scalable agentic AI workflows and solutions.
Design and build AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and semi-autonomous systems on enterprise platforms.
Rapidly prototype and test AI-enabled business workflows to validate measurable business value.
Implement human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring, alerting, and performance measurement for safe AI adoption.
Use modern AI-assisted development tools, agentic frameworks, and prompt engineering to accelerate delivery.
Support model testing, token and cost optimization, and responsible AI governance practices.
Integrate data sources and develop prototypes using Python and SQL.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related quantitative or technical discipline.
Strong engineering foundation with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into working technical solutions.
Hands-on interest or experience with generative AI, agentic AI, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, or workflow automation.
Familiarity with modern AI tools including LLMs, agent frameworks, AI-enabled IDEs, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Google Gemini Enterprise, or AWS Bedrock.
Programming experience in Python, SQL, or comparable languages to develop prototypes and integrate data sources.
Awareness of AI governance, responsible AI, data controls, model risk, security, auditability, and operational resiliency in regulated environments.
Curiosity and an ownership mindset to quickly learn new tools, frameworks, and business domains.
