Precision Controls Eng - Specialist will join the Manufacturing Technology team to design and deliver ultra-precision manufacturing systems where motion performance is measured in nanometers. The role involves developing, deploying, and supporting advanced control solutions while identifying and mitigating sources of positioning error to ensure machine accuracy and repeatability. Key responsibilities include implementing strategies for servo tuning, motion optimization, and system validation while managing technical requirements and project deliverables. Candidates should possess expertise in mechatronics, industrial automation, or robotics. Required skills include experience with linear motors, high-resolution encoders, air bearings, and advanced motion control platforms like Delta Tau or Aerotech. Technical proficiency is required in electrical design tools such as EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical, alongside programming languages including C/C++, .NET/C#, Structured Text, TwinCAT, and LabVIEW to solve complex manufacturing challenges through robust control architectures.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a Physical Science.
Six years of experience in mechatronics, precision engineering, industrial automation, motion control, or robotics.
Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
Five or more years of experience designing, developing, commissioning, or deploying advanced motion control systems for manufacturing applications (preferred).
Experience with precision engineering concepts such as error budgeting, metrology, and machine calibration (preferred).
Familiarity with linear motors, high-resolution encoders, air bearings, and high-speed servo control (preferred).
Experience with electrical system design tools like EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical (preferred).
Experience with embedded software or automation platforms such as C/C++, .NET, LabVIEW, or TwinCAT (preferred).
