As a Power Systems Architect, Expeditionary AI/HPC Data Center Infrastructure, you will join the Anduril Expeditionary Systems team to design and build specialized, high-performance computing centers for processing petabyte-scale data in forward operating bases. You will architect complete electrical infrastructure including MV/LV power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, and rack-level delivery for high-density GPU clusters like NVIDIA H100s. Your daily work involves performing load flow and arc flash studies using SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower to support microgrids in austere, contested environments. You will develop air-transportable, modular systems that integrate with liquid cooling and battery energy storage systems. The role requires expertise in 15kV–35kV systems, transformer selection, and power topology design while ensuring compliance with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA 70E standards to solve the challenge of providing reliable power for AI inference at the tactical edge.
Design end-to-end electrical infrastructure including MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, and rack-level power delivery for high-density GPU clusters.
Engineer power systems specifically optimized for NVIDIA GPU hardware and integrated cooling requirements.
Develop power topologies such as 2N or N+1 configurations to meet Tier III/IV and Uptime Institute standards.
Perform short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, and coordination studies using industry-standard software like SKM or ETAP.
Architect microgrids for 1MW to 10MW installations in environments where grid power is unreliable or unavailable.
Design air-transportable, modular, and ruggedized power systems capable of operating in austere and contested environments.
Translate defense customer requirements into technical architectures for field-deployable high-performance computing centers.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
5+ years of experience designing and deploying grid scale MV/LV infrastructure.
Experience with 15kV–35kV MV systems and multi-MW power delivery.
Expertise in MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and battery storage.
Proven track record of building production infrastructure from concept through operational scale.
U.S. Person status (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
