Power, Performance and Thermal Architect - Platform Architecture Team joins the Platform Architecture team to advance SoC performance and efficiency across various product lines. This role operates at the intersection of hardware and software to extend power, performance, and thermal control architectures for new platforms and deployment scenarios. The architect will partner with SoC and power delivery architects, operating system designers, and control system engineers to develop and specify features that maximize system capabilities under physical constraints. What you'll do

Extend SoC power, performance, and thermal control architecture to new platforms and deployment scenarios.
Drive high-efficiency system architectures by collaborating with SoC, power delivery, and operating system teams.
Develop and specify new hardware features to maximize capabilities under physical constraints.
Design software features to optimize performance within power and thermal limits.
Analyze and optimize system performance across various Apple product lines.
Manage workload scheduling at scale for complex computing environments.
Implement advanced thermal management and power delivery control systems.

What we're looking for

B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering degree.
Experience with computer architecture.
Experience with power management.
M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering degree (preferred).
20+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
Experience with software performance analysis and optimization (preferred).
Experience with operating system implementation (preferred).
Experience with power delivery control, thermal management, workload scheduling at scale, and machine learning workloads (preferred).
