As a Power, Performance and Thermal Architect - Platform Architecture Team member, you will join the team responsible for ensuring Apple Silicon delivers a high-quality user experience while operating under physical limits. What you'll do

Extend SoC power, performance, and thermal control architecture to new platforms and deployment scenarios.
Drive high-efficiency system architectures in collaboration with SoC, power delivery, and operating system teams.
Develop and specify new hardware features to maximize capabilities under physical constraints.
Design software features to optimize system performance within power and thermal limits.
Influence a wide spectrum of features across the entire Apple product lineup.
Manage workload scheduling at scale for complex computing environments.
Address specific challenges related to machine learning workloads on silicon platforms.

What we're looking for

B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering degree.
Experience with computer architecture.
Experience with power management.
M.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering degree (preferred).
20+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
Experience with software performance analysis and optimization (preferred).
Experience with operating system implementation (preferred).
Experience with power delivery control, thermal management, workload scheduling at scale, and machine learning workloads (preferred).
