What you'll do

  • Collect and analyze power and performance data across various devices and workloads.
  • Develop procedures and automation for measuring SoC power and performance.
  • Set up and configure new devices and software for repeatable benchmarking.
  • Identify performance limitations to provide recommendations for hardware and software improvements.
  • Disassemble and reassemble consumer devices while maintaining functionality and thermal properties.
  • Debug and troubleshoot desktop and mobile devices.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience using benchmark software tools to accurately measure system performance.
  • Experience with Python and shell scripting.
  • Experience with modern consumer electronics devices, SoCs, and multiple operating systems.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Solid foundation in computer architecture fundamentals (preferred).
  • Experience using power measurement tools with benchmark software for simultaneous power and performance measurements (preferred).
  • Understanding of DC power delivery circuits or systems programming/driver development related to power management (preferred).
