Platform Foundations Manager

What you'll do

• Architect and develop core frameworks for user interface development and fundamental system capabilities.
• Manage project planning, execution, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Lead the development of innovative OS-level capabilities including lifecycle management and process orchestration.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership while managing the growth and success of engineering team members.
• Advocate for the team's technical direction and priorities across multiple cross-functional engineering organizations.
• Ensure high standards of quality, reliability, and performance for foundational system frameworks.
• Oversee the development of public or private APIs used across the platform.

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of engineering management experience leading iOS, macOS, or systems-level development teams.
• At least 7 years of software development experience with expertise in C, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Proven track record of shipping complex software products and/or frameworks.
• Experience with concurrent programming and multi-threading.
• Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Apple development technologies including libdispatch and XPC (preferred).
• Excellent understanding of optimization and performance issues across OS software layers (preferred).
