The Platform Engineering Lead will lead the Platform Engineering team to manage end-user platform engineering, image management, endpoint protection, and desktop and mobile operating system engineering. You will drive technical direction, own platform roadmaps, and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable end-user computing services across the FDIC environment. Daily responsibilities include developing OS baseline configurations, managing software distribution, and overseeing endpoint protection engineering. You will utilize technologies including Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Modern Policies, Virtual Desktop environments, MS Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft 365, and CrowdStrike EDR. Lead the Platform Engineering team in managing desktop/mobile OS engineering, image management, and endpoint protection.

Develop and maintain desktop and mobile OS baseline configurations, including Group Policies and Modern Policies.
Build and maintain Core Images and profiles across multiple device models and operating systems.
Script, package, and test software applications for Windows and macOS platforms.
Oversee the deployment and troubleshooting of Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) agents and central management consoles.
Provide Tier 3 engineering support for escalated desktop and mobile technical issues.
Automate platform modernization and secure baseline development using tools like PowerShell.
What we're looking for
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must possess a BI Full 6C (T4) Public Trust.
10+ years of related experience is required.
5+ years of diverse IT experience in Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Virtual Desktops, MS Defender, Microsoft 365, and CrowdStrike EDR is required.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Expertise in OS engineering, image engineering, Group Policies, secure baseline development (DISA STIGs), and endpoint protection engineering is required.
Proficiency with endpoint privilege management and strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell preferred) is required.
Experience in a managed services IT environment is preferred.
