What you'll do

Administer, harden, and automate Windows and Linux systems using PowerShell and Bash scripts.
Design and operate distributed SIEM architectures, including data ingestion pipelines and parsing logic.
Develop high-fidelity SIEM detection content, correlation searches, dashboards, and reporting.
Build and maintain SOAR automation workflows and playbooks for incident triage and response.
Optimize enterprise EDR platforms by tuning behavioral detections and integrating telemetry into SIEM pipelines.
Manage vulnerability and compliance programs aligned with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and DISA STIGs.
Lead detection engineering operations including threat hunting and MITRE ATT&CK coverage mapping.
Serve as a Tier III escalation point for SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and vulnerability platforms.

What we're looking for

US Citizenship is required.
BA/BS or equivalent degree and 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity, SOC, or security engineering experience.
5+ years of experience administering and securing Windows and Linux systems, including Active Directory, IAM, and PKI.
Hands-on SIEM engineering experience including architecture design, data onboarding, parsing, and detection development.
Strong experience with Splunk, including SPL development, Enterprise Security, and API integrations.
SOAR engineering experience including API-driven automated workflows and scripting for automation.
Enterprise EDR administration experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, Defender for Endpoint, or SentinelOne.
Vulnerability and compliance management experience using Qualys or equivalent tools aligned to NIST 800-53, FISMA, DISA STIGs, and CIS Benchmarks.
Strong scripting proficiency in Python and PowerShell/Bash for automation and platform integration.
Cloud security monitoring experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, or Splunk ES Certified Admin within 6 months of hire.
Splunk SOAR or Palo Alto XSOAR certification within 6 months of hire.
DoD 8140/DCWF CSSP Analyst certification within 6 months of hire.
