What you'll do

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and modern cloud-based solutions for Public Health data modernization.
  • Lead a technical team of 20+ engineers to overcome complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
  • Recommend specific tools and solutions based on research of on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.
  • Inform strategy and design by providing technical expertise to engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all technical implementations adhere to established engineering and cloud governance standards.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot IaaS environments, Linux/Unix-based systems, and shell scripting.
  • Drive projects forward to keep releases on track while managing competing technical priorities.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience with software implementation, design, solution, application, or technical architecture.
  • 7+ years of experience with software development using languages such as Python, Dotnet, or Java.
  • Experience leading technical teams of 20+ engineers.
  • Experience architecting and deploying solutions in hybrid cloud environments and developing secure, cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting IaaS environments and Linux or Unix-based systems, including shell scripting.
  • Experience with Gen-AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
