Electrician C - A

What you'll do

• Install, test, and maintain protection and control devices including digital relays and SCADA systems.
• Perform periodic calibration and data retrieval for power line carriers and communication equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions or damage in electrical equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Execute switching operations under the direction of qualified personnel following proper operating authority.
• Maintain all testing tools, specialized equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, technical reports, and drawings for all performed work.
• Respond to emergency call-outs to coordinate and perform prompt restoration of customer service.

What we're looking for

• Must possess an Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology, electronic technology, or a related field.
• Must live within a 30-mile radius of the Longview Service Center.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and meet all legal vehicle operation requirements.
• Must successfully complete a Physical Abilities Test (PAT) involving lifting up to 60 pounds and climbing structures.
• Ability to distinguish between colors is required for testing purposes.
• Candidates must be willing to perform considerable travel and overtime as required by work assignments.
• For P&C Electrician B, minimum of 24 months of experience as a P&C Electrician C or equivalent is required.
• For P&C Electrician A, minimum of 24 months of experience as a P&C Electrician B or certified equivalent is required.
