What you'll do
- Own the mechanical, electrical, and software architecture for all mission payloads.
- Drive the integration of internal and government-furnished equipment onto the maritime platform.
- Establish interoperability standards to ensure payload modularity across various vehicle configurations.
- Develop reference mission kits that package specific payloads with autonomous behaviors.
- Manage the payload integration schedule and costs through both prototype and production phases.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage payload qualification and integration processes.
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers across multiple payload disciplines.
- Support the testing and field deployment of payload systems at various sites.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in payload integration, weapons systems, or mission systems.
- Experience delivering payload integration in defense or aerospace environments.
- Demonstrated experience with sensor integration, weapons systems, or C4ISR payloads.
- Experience with the full product delivery lifecycle including design, test, manufacturing, and deployment.
- Deep understanding of military mission sets and payload capabilities.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience with maritime/undersea systems, MIL-STD-882E safety standards, or autonomous systems.
