The Oxy-Fuel/Plasma Cutting Technician joins the Maritime Manufacturing Technology Team to develop manufacturing processes for maritime defense hardware, including undersea vehicles and moving surfaces. Working within a multi-disciplinary workflow alongside engineers, you will fabricate high-quality parts, build assembly components, and manage work area maintenance. Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings and CAD models, programming and operating CNC water jets, oxy-acetylene cutters, plasma cutters, and shears, while designing work-holding fixtures and performing quality control. Required skills include proficiency with Siemens NX, Fanuc, Omax, and Siemens controls, as well as experience with manual tools like hand-grinders and plasma torches. You must possess a deep understanding of GD&T, precision measuring tools, and various alloys including Inconel and Titanium to solve complex manufacturing challenges in the production of advanced maritime systems.
