What you'll do

  • Maintain and repair Outside Plant cable infrastructure including fiber, copper, coax, and conduit systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce weekly reports to develop maintenance plans.
  • Provide 24/7/365 break/fix support for Outside Plant systems within the JSP purview.
  • Plan Outside Plant pathways for Federal and Local Government agencies.
  • Manage configuration records and maintain accurate OSP data and documentation for NCR facilities.
  • Ensure all infrastructure complies with JSP, TIA/EIA, and other industry standards.
  • Perform fusion and mechanical fiber splicing as needed for network maintenance.
  • Utilize OTDR testing, AutoCAD, and Visio to document and verify system integrity.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible).
  • Must have an Associate's degree and 3 years of Outside Plant infrastructure experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling 5 years.
  • Must have experience with fusion and mechanical fiber splicing.
  • Must be proficient in OTDR testing, Microsoft Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • Must possess knowledge of BICSI standards, NEC, IEEE, EIA, and TIA codes.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for long periods, and conduct site walks on active construction sites.
  • US Citizenship.
