What you'll do

  • Conduct evaluations and testing for new generation Technical Security Systems using engineering processes.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation including technical requirements, test plans, and deployment instructions.
  • Provide technical support and services to Diplomatic Security field activities worldwide.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers on new products and existing system improvements.
  • Maintain testing labs and equipment.
  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams and low-voltage electrical schematics.
  • Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling.
  • Use a digital voltage meter for point-to-point system testing.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must currently possess a Secret level clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related technical security experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills in low voltage electrical, security systems, systems documentation, system testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and low-voltage electrical schematics.
  • Ability to terminate and test copper and fiber cabling.
  • Familiarity with using a digital voltage meter for point-to-point system testing.
  • User level proficiency in Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD/Visio (preferred).
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE or ISC2 SSCP (preferred).
