What you'll do

Design and implement highly available networks balancing routing and redundancy for production and launch environments.
Design and maintain mission data center and site networks in accordance with company standards.
Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including switches, firewalls, and SDWAN appliances.
Contribute to network automation tooling by implementing configuration analysis, linting, and scalability into deployment frameworks.
Troubleshoot network issues and publish root cause analysis documentation and retrospective data reviews.
Provide real-time networking support and on-call coverage during launch and test campaigns.
Tailor network monitoring to provide operational telemetry and early issue detection.
Ensure network configurations comply with industry and cybersecurity standards like ITAR, ISO, and NIST.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience.
5+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
Ability to pass a DoD background check for launch site access.
U.S. citizenship, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status as required by ITAR.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and provide 24x7 on-call support as needed.
Ability to lift 30 lbs, work at heights, work in tight quarters, and drive with a valid license.
Willingness to travel up to 20% worldwide and potentially spend time at sea.
Extensive experience with Layer 2/3 networks, Cisco/Arista/Juniper switches, and automation tools (preferred).
