IT Network Engineer, Mission Systems

What you'll do

• Design and implement highly available networks using various routing and redundancy technologies for production and launch operations.
• Manage mission data center and site networks in accordance with company standards and infrastructure requirements.
• Evaluate, procure, and deploy network hardware including switches, firewalls, and SDWAN appliances.
• Develop and maintain network automation tooling for configuration analysis, linting, and scalable deployment.
• Troubleshoot network issues and produce root cause analysis documentation following technical failures.
• Provide real-time networking support and on-call coverage during active launch and test campaigns.
• Configure and maintain networks to comply with ITAR, ISO, and NIST cybersecurity standards.
• Create and update comprehensive network documentation including architecture overviews and operational procedures.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience, or 5+ years of experience without a degree.
• Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks in latency-sensitive or industrial environments.
• Proficiency with Cisco, Arista, and Juniper data center switches and fiber optics infrastructure.
• Experience with GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Knowledge of network security features including segmentation, QoS, multicast, and redundancy protocols.
• Experience supporting real-time systems or industrial control networks in high-reliability industries like aerospace or defense.
• Ability to pass a DoD background check for launch site access.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations under ITAR regulations.
