Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) Functional Lead
The Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) Functional Lead joins the enterprise technology team to manage and optimize client meter data operations within the Oracle Customer Cloud Service platform. This role serves as the primary functional expert bridging Metering, Customer Operations, IT, and Regulatory teams to ensure accurate processing of meter data for billing, settlements, and regulatory compliance across US service territories. Responsibilities include configuring VEE rules, managing AMI head-end integrations, overseeing interval data processing, and leading fit/gap workshops. The candidate will utilize Oracle MDM, Oracle CCS, and potentially Oracle Integration Cloud or Oracle Analytics Cloud to manage complex data flows involving GIS, SCADA, and market systems. Essential skills include expertise in ANSI C12 standards, Green Button, and large-scale smart meter deployments while ensuring compliance with FERC and state PUC regulations for utility operations.
Manage and optimize meter data operations within the Oracle CCS/MDM platform.
Configure VEE rules, interval data processing, and service point hierarchies for US utility models.
Oversee AMI head-end integration to support large-scale smart meter deployments.
Ensure accurate delivery of usage data to downstream billing, market transaction, and settlement processes.
Collaborate with architects on data exchange between Oracle MDM and external systems like GIS and SCADA.
Lead fit/gap workshops and business requirements sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and detailed VEE rule documentation.
Define test strategies and lead SIT, UAT, and regression testing for meter data scenarios.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent 12 years of work experience.
Must have an Associate's Degree with work experience.
Requires at least 3 years of functional experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B or Customer Cloud Service in a US utility environment.
Requires at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management configuration, VEE rules, and integration with Oracle CCS billing.
Requires at least 1 year of hands-on experience configuring VEE rules within Oracle MDM.
Requires at least 1 year of experience supporting utility-based projects.
Must possess expertise in AMI/smart metering, interval data, ANSI C12 standards, and Green Button Connect My Data.
Preferred candidates hold an Oracle Utilities MDM or CCS Cloud certification.
