What you'll do

  • Develop and certify safety-critical fly-by-wire control laws and flight mission planning software.
  • Refine and develop software requirements for onboard systems.
  • Apply model-based design techniques to support the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform verification and validation testing through desktop simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight tests.
  • Update simulation models and automation scripts for software and hardware integration labs.
  • Ensure software compliance with DO-178C, DO-331, and ARP4754 certification standards.
  • Enhance and expand the software test framework and analysis tool suite.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related curriculum is required.
  • At least 18 months of related engineering experience is required.
  • Experience programming with MATLAB and using Simulink to create models is required.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting with Object Oriented principles and Class hierarchy is required.
  • Knowledge of software testing processes, standards, and flight control fundamental principles is required.
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles including ARP4754A and DO-178 experience is preferred.
  • Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and Unix/Linux environments is preferred.
