As an OCI Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer 3, you will join the software engineering division to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. The role requires expertise in RESTful web services, JWT, OAuth2, and Okta frameworks to solve complex problems regarding reliability and performance. What you'll do

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
Build and operate high-scale, distributed, multi-tenant cloud services in a highly available environment.
Develop core Identity and Access Management (IAM) features to control user access to cloud resources.
Engineer scalable systems capable of handling millions of requests per second while ensuring resilience against outages.
Implement security measures using authentication frameworks like JWT, OAuth2, and Okta.
Optimize database performance by troubleshooting SQL issues, locking/deadlocks, and high-volume transaction processing.
Automate manual processes and improve system observability through proper instrumentation and scripting.
Drive the tactical execution of features while balancing speed, quality, and technical debt.

What we're looking for

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
7 years of software engineering or related experience.
Hands-on experience building and operating end-to-end systems and services.
Experience developing service-oriented architectures (SOA) and RESTful web services.
Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming principles including concurrency concepts and thread-safe code.
Strong Oracle PL/SQL development experience for high-volume transactional systems.
Experience with JWT, OAuth2, Okta, and other authentication/authorization frameworks.
Experience with production database support, scripting languages for automation, and various preferred technologies (preferred).
