TL;DR · New Graduate Engineer

New Graduate Engineer, GNC- '26/'27 (Starlink) joins the Starlink guidance, navigation, and control team to develop autopilot algorithms for a massive satellite constellation and user terminals. This role involves writing production code in C++ or Python to build reliable algorithms, simulations, tools, services, and dashboards. The engineer will participate in architecture reviews, perform bulk data analysis on network performance, and provide technical documentation while supporting an on-call rotation to maintain network operations. Key responsibilities include constellation design, orbit transfer automation, collision avoidance, attitude determination, and trajectory optimization for low thrust station-keeping. The work addresses the technical challenges of managing a large-scale satellite network, including precision state estimation for RF antennas and laser inter-satellite links. Candidates should possess skills in orbital mechanics, control theory, state estimation, and spacecraft systems design to solve complex problems in this high-demand environment.
