What you'll do

Develop high-performance GNC algorithms, simulations, and tools using C++ or Python for production use.
Perform constellation design, optimization, and orbit transfer automation for the Starlink fleet.
Execute satellite attitude determination, control, and low thrust trajectory optimization.
Conduct state estimation and control for network payloads like RF antennas and laser links.
Analyze bulk performance data from the satellite constellation to monitor system health.
Perform satellite collision avoidance maneuvers and orbital station-keeping.
Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical documentation of algorithms.
Support on-call operations by commanding satellites and monitoring network data for peak performance.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, aerospace, physics, or an engineering discipline.
Software development experience in either C++ or Python.
Must be graduating in the class of 2026 or 2027.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (or eligible for such status).
Master's degree or PhD in an engineering discipline or physics (preferred).
Experience developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world applications (preferred).
Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, including low thrust trajectory optimization and stationkeeping (preferred).
Experience with state estimation, attitude determination, orbit determination, GNSS, and radio navigation (preferred).
