What you'll do

  • Design technical solutions for complex problems by interpreting requirements and allocating them to specific components.
  • Define, maintain, and upgrade the overall security posture of the networks through regular audits and improvements.
  • Configure and maintain LAN/WAN equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, and storage devices.
  • Create "build-to" and "as-built" documentation along with implementation and test plans for IT installations.
  • Perform expert analysis of voice, video, and data communications networks to plan and upgrade systems.
  • Manage capacity planning, system configuration, tuning, monitoring, and hardware/software installations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users across Tier I, II, and III levels.
  • Mentor junior network engineers while resolving complex problems in high-security environments.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or 14 years of job-related experience.
  • 10+ years of related Network Engineering experience.
  • 12+ years of experience configuring and maintaining Cisco ASA or Next Generation Firewalls.
  • 10+ years of experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices with a thorough understanding of routing concepts (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IP MPLS).
  • 10+ years of experience in designing, engineering, and deploying controlled interfaces.
  • More than 10 years of experience deploying Cisco, Palo Alto, or Juniper firewall Manager servers.
  • Experience with multi-firewall solutions, vendor transition plans, multicast environments, and various VPN technologies.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into technical solutions and mentor junior engineers.
  • (preferred) Experience configuring, designing, and troubleshooting QoS in LAN or WAN devices.
  • (preferred) Juniper, Palo Alto, or Cisco Next Generation Firewalls certifications and hands-on experience.
  • (preferred) Experience designing and deploying Multi-Factor Authentication and Zero-Trust solutions.
