What you'll do

Provide first-level technical support and initial troubleshooting for C2BMC network hardware and software.
Document and report all system events and issues to the C2BMC Watch Officer.
Perform network hardware and software installations as directed by local subject matter experts.
Create and maintain user accounts in accordance with local ISSO directions.
Monitor and maintain C2BMC network systems in a 24/7 operations and test environment.
Utilize network diagnostic and analytics tools including VMware, vCenter, and vSphere.
Troubleshoot network issues using OSPF, Cisco IOS, and Junos commands.
Maintain Windows Server systems and manage remote access via SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, a Master’s degree, or 6 years of relevant work experience.
Must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at the time of application.
Must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and be read on to SCI.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Sound knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network management and monitoring.
Knowledge of monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools, including VMware, vCenter, and vSphere.
Sound knowledge and practical experience with remote access software such as SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.
Sound knowledge of OSPF, Cisco IOS, and Junos commands and troubleshooting.
Experience in Windows Server maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work rotating 24x7 shifts, including nights and weekends.
Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility (preferred).
Knowledge and practical experience in the usage of network management tools (preferred).
Familiarity with encryption devices, specifically TACLANEs (preferred).
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix Server maintenance (preferred).
Experience in liaising with other DoD Agencies and associated network operations organizations (preferred).
