This role involves daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software within a 24/7 operations environment. The analyst provides first-level technical support to warfighters, documents system events, manages user accounts, and assists with hardware installations. Key technical requirements include proficiency in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network management tools; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, vCenter, and vSphere; and familiarity with SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP protocols. The role also requires knowledge of OSPF, Cisco IOS, Junos commands, Windows Server maintenance, and Linux/Unix systems. This position addresses the technical challenge of integrating and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems to provide a coordinated response to ballistic missile threats across various flight phases.

  • Perform initial troubleshooting of local network components in a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Document and report all system events and issues to the Watch Officer.
  • Assist with the installation of network hardware and software under guidance from subject matter experts.
  • Create and maintain user accounts as directed by the Information System Security Officer.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain C2BMC network systems during real-world events and tests.
  • Perform routine maintenance on Windows Server infrastructure.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree, or 6 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Must possess a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP).
  • Must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance and eligibility for Top Secret/SCI.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24x7 operations environment including nights and weekends.
  • Must possess sound knowledge of network concepts (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP), management tools, and virtualization technologies like VMware.
  • Must have practical experience with remote access software (SSH, RDP, FTP, SCP) and Windows Server maintenance.
  • A Top Secret clearance, Linux/Unix server knowledge, and familiarity with TACLANEs are preferred.
