Network Communications Analyst 2

What you'll do

• Perform daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of C2BMC network systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Provide first-level technical support and initial troubleshooting for local C2BMC network hardware and software.
• Document and report all network events and issues to the C2BMC Watch Officer.
• Assist in network hardware and software installations as directed by local subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain user accounts in coordination with the local Information System Security Officer.
• Execute network diagnosis and analysis using various monitoring tools and techniques.
• Maintain Windows and Linux/Unix servers as required by mission needs.
• Troubleshoot network issues using OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, a Master’s degree, or 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
• Must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• Must have sound knowledge of network concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network management and monitoring.
• Must have a strong understanding of management and monitoring tools and techniques for various network infrastructure components and services.
• Must have knowledge of monitoring, network diagnosis, and network analysis tools.
• Must have knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMWare, vCenter, and vSphere.
• Must have solid understanding and hands-on experience with remote access tools like SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.
• Must have a strong understanding of OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands and troubleshooting.
• Must have experience in Windows Server maintenance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• A current, active in-scope DoD-issued TS/SCI security clearance is highly preferred (preferred).
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with network management tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with encryption devices, especially TACLANEs (preferred).
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix server maintenance (preferred).
• Experience coordinating with other DoD agencies and associated network operations organizations (preferred).
