Network Communications Analyst II

What you'll do

• Provide first-level technical support and initial troubleshooting for local network hardware and software.
• Perform daily monitoring, operations, and maintenance of C2BMC network systems in a 24/7 environment.
• Document and report all system events and issues to the Watch Officer.
• Assist with the installation of network hardware and software as directed by subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain user accounts in coordination with the Information System Security Officer.
• Execute technical tasks for real-world operations, testing, and mission-critical events.
• Perform 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends to support continuous mission needs.

What we're looking for

• Must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
• Must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, CISSP).
• A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, a Master’s degree, or 6 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Must have sound knowledge of network concepts including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network management.
• Must have a strong understanding of management and monitoring tools for various network infrastructure components.
• Must possess knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare, vCenter, and vSphere.
• Must have solid experience with remote access tools like SSH, RDP, FTP, and SCP.
• Must have a strong understanding of OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands and troubleshooting.
