JOB TITLE: Missile Tracking Systems Engineer (Space Force) (Sign-On Bonus Available) As a Missile Tracking Systems Engineer for the Space Development Agency Ground, Management and Integration program, you will join a cross-functional team developing ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. Your daily responsibilities include systems engineering tasks such as decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors. You will manage scheduling and situational awareness for satellites and payloads to track missiles, while performing analysis and fusion of missile tracking data for rapid dissemination. The role requires skills in algorithm development, sensor fusion techniques, and cloud technologies. You will also handle image processing and identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement. This work focuses on the evolution, integration, testing, and maintenance of ground entry points and operations centers.

What you'll do

Decompose requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors.
Schedule and maintain situational awareness of satellite and payload capabilities to track missiles.

Develop and deploy ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.
Manage the evolution, integration, testing, and maintenance of ground entry points and operations centers.
Identify and apply AI opportunities for continuous system improvement and innovation.
Design and tune algorithms to solve complex problems for specific mission parameters.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field.
Must have 5+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Must possess a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance with polygraph eligibility.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Agile experience (preferred).
Recent experience designing and developing systems to solve complex problems using algorithms (preferred).
Recent algorithm development and tuning for specific mission parameters (preferred).
Recent experience with missile tracking systems design, architecture, sensor fusion, satellite services, cloud technologies, or image processing (preferred).
