Mechanical Engineer II

What you'll do

• Design mechanical systems, components, enclosures, and packaging using advanced CAD tools like SolidWorks or ProE.
• Perform structural analyses including stress, strain, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate material reliability.
• Execute prototype testing and reliability assessments to ensure designs meet functional goals and identify defects.
• Conduct thermal analysis and airflow measurements using CFD tools such as FloTHERM or Icepak.
• Perform environmental testing to ensure products comply with global regulatory and industry standards.
• Research next-generation technologies to optimize data center and cloud application products.
• Document technical processes, materials, and test results to ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of hands-on mechanical design experience through full-time roles, internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo/ProEngineer, SolidWorks, or NX for 3D modeling and mechanical designs.
• Experience designing sheet metal, machined, plastic, die-cast, and fastened mechanical components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping, bending, machining, injection molding, die casting, finishing, assembly, and inspection.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis, GD&T, DFM/DFA, mechanical drawings, BOM creation, and engineering change processes.
• Ability to perform structural analysis (FEA), thermal analysis (CFD), and mechanical validation including environmental and vibration testing.
• Strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage project timelines.
