The Material Flow Specialist joins the Supply Chain team to execute hands-on warehouse and production operations ensuring seamless material flow through manufacturing processes. Working closely with Material Flow Engineers and Warehouse Operations, the individual manages inventory, visual workplace systems like labeling and signage, lineside organization, and replenishment systems including Kanban and Supermarkets. Key responsibilities involve creating process flow charts, conducting time-and-motion studies, implementing 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles, and participating in tiger teams for layout optimizations. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, specifically Excel or Sheets for data entry and analysis, with preferred experience in ERP or WMS systems. This position addresses the critical challenge of maintaining organized material handling and production schedules within a high-growth manufacturing environment involving aerospace, automotive, defense, or robotics components.
Execute hands-on warehouse tasks including visual management, stock relocation, and replenishment system execution like Kanban.
Maintain organized material flow to support uninterrupted production schedules.
Create and maintain process flow charts to document material handling procedures.
Implement 5S, visual management, and other Lean Manufacturing principles on the production floor.
Conduct time-and-motion studies to gather baseline operational data.
Provide tactical execution support for Material Flow Engineering projects and site layout optimizations.
Report progress on task completion and project status to leadership regularly.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, fulfillment, or logistics environments.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, inventory control, and replenishment systems like Kanban and Supermarkets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, specifically Excel or Sheets for data entry and basic analysis.
Experience with ERP or WMS systems is preferred.
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing on concrete floors for extended periods and lifting/moving materials.
Willingness to travel to various locations to support multi-site operations.
Background in high-growth manufacturing environments such as aerospace, automotive, defense, or robotics is preferred.
