What you'll do

  • Plan and optimize workstation layouts for Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) to meet throughput capacities.
  • Implement and continuously improve assembly, integration, and test processes for space hardware.
  • Specify and procure various assembly equipment and systems to meet program development requirements.
  • Interface with facilities personnel on site usage and integration flow for payload processing.
  • Define and implement Work Order and automated documentation processes for AIT.
  • Resolve anomalies and implement corrective actions in manufacturing processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing space mechanical assemblies or similar complex products.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical leadership in facilities and operations setup.
  • Proven experience in developing functional specifications and test procedures for space hardware.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with effective communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods at various levels.
  • Experience in operational excellence using Six Sigma methodologies.
