Manager, Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage a team of 15 software engineers to deliver solutions for military and intelligence customers.
• Execute software development projects in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner.
• Maintain accountability for cost and schedule performance on programs, IRaDs, and internal orders.
• Coordinate and perform senior reviews for bid and proposal efforts regarding technology design.
• Manage relationships with external hardware and software vendors.
• Mentor staff, provide technical training, and hire qualified engineering personnel.
• Contribute to the development of strategic plans and technology roadmaps for Networking.
• Submit ideas for internal research and development (IRAD) investments and execute funded projects.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree with 7 years, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
• Strong background in software development and open-source Linux development.
• Knowledge of various waveforms and wireless communications.
• Proven record of leading large project planning and development activities.
• Significant experience in bidding new technical work and related activities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
• U.S. citizens.
