Specialist, Software Engineering joins the System Software group to architect next-generation, mission-critical solutions. The role involves developing core software infrastructure that integrates advanced communications technologies across complex subsystems to enable national security and define future operational capabilities for defense systems. Key responsibilities include participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation, integration, and formal testing. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop performance requirements, interface hardware components, and contribute to technical documentation. Required technical skills include experience with embedded real-time software development on VxWorks and Linux. What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience, a Graduate Degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Must have knowledge and experience of embedded real-time software development using VxWorks or Linux.
Must be able to support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing.
Must demonstrate depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
Must be able to utilize various software languages on Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
Must be a U.S. citizen (required for security clearance eligibility).
Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Advanced proficiency with C++ and experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming (preferred).
