Manager, Security Engineering

What you'll do

• Own multi-year initiatives to scale security monitoring efforts in a cost-effective manner.
• Ensure high technical quality and operational excellence for monitoring infrastructure, investigation tools, and automation systems.
• Make prioritization decisions balancing short-term goals with long-term security outcomes and team productivity.
• Participate in detection and response operations by investigating alerts and triaging potential incidents.
• Lead response efforts and coordinate with internal teams during active security incidents.
• Align team direction with organizational strategic goals through quarterly and annual planning.
• Recruit, manage, and mentor high-caliber engineers to build a productive and engaged team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor's industry experience; or Master’s plus 7+ years security experience; or PhD plus 4 years security experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Proven experience in digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host/network intrusion detection, or threat intelligence.
• Development skills in Python, Go, and/or Java.
• Advanced knowledge of operating system internals and core competency in two or more of macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
• Demonstrated knowledge in threat hunting and developing logic to automate threat detection and incident response (preferred).
• Master’s degree in a technical field + 7+ years of post-grad security.
