Security Engineer, Level V, Detection & Response

What you'll do

• Design, pilot, and implement logging and alerting systems across endpoints, infrastructure, networks, and cloud environments.
• Build tools and automation strategies to improve threat hunting and incident response capabilities.
• Investigate events from the alerting pipeline and triage potential security incidents.
• Develop scalable services using AI tools while maintaining high standards for code quality and security.
• Lead response efforts and coordinate with multiple internal teams during active security incidents.
• Analyze and fingerprint adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures to build threat intelligence on cybercrime and APTs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s security experience, or a Master’s with 5+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• Proven experience in digital forensics, malware analysis, incident management, host/network intrusion detection, or threat intelligence.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go.
• Advanced knowledge of operating system internals and core competency in at least two of macOS, Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for development while auditing output for architectural integrity and security risks.
• Demonstrated knowledge in threat hunting and developing logic to automate detection and response (preferred).
• Master’s degree in a technical field + 5+ year of post-grad security related.
