The Manager, Scrum Master joins the CVS Health Aetna Enterprise Delivery team to serve as a key contributor on critical technical programs. This role combines scrum master and project manager skillsets to manage an agile-based SDLC for teams of development and business resources working on large, complex technology projects. Responsibilities include facilitating scrum events, removing impediments, coaching team members on agile principles, maintaining process documentation, and updating tracking systems to provide transparency on sprint backlogs. The individual will also manage project plans, schedules, resource forecasting, and budget parameters while ensuring high-quality delivery. Required skills include problem-solving, collaboration, and execution. The role utilizes tools such as CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. The work involves navigating complex software development lifecycles within the healthcare industry to solve technical and business-oriented challenges for large-scale applications.
Facilitate Scrum events and remove impediments to ensure the team meets sprint goals.
Coach and mentor development and business teams on Agile principles and practices.
Manage project plans, schedules, and resource forecasting to ensure delivery within scope and budget.
Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
Analyze team productivity, velocity, and quality data to recommend process improvements.
Serve as a buffer between the team and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts and obstacles.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage day-to-day scrum activities using Agile tools.
Coordinate the execution of complex IT projects across various business and functional areas.
What we're looking for
6-10+ years of work experience.
2-5+ years of experience as Scrum Master and/or Project Manager.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Scrum Master Certification (preferred).
Project Management Certification (preferred).
Experience in the healthcare industry (preferred).
Experience with large-scale applications, software development, and Agile collaboration tools like CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams (preferred).
Understanding of resource allocations, forecasting, and budgeting (preferred).
