JOB TITLE: Manager – Satellite Avionics (TPM) The Manager – Satellite Avionics (TPM) leads a team responsible for the end-to-end development of avionics and power systems for a low Earth orbit satellite constellation. This manager oversees complex projects involving system architecture, modem, high-speed signals, RF communication systems, electrical design, mechanical design, embedded software, thermal design, reliability design, manufacturing, and test. The role involves driving execution, removing blockers, and managing dependencies in a high-speed, agile environment. Key responsibilities include hiring and coaching team members, developing strategic plans to increase development velocity, and translating engineering concepts into executable plans for hardware and software. The position requires expertise in manufacturing test strategies, automated test system development, and design for manufacturing. This role solves technical challenges related to satellite avionics and power systems throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end avionics and power systems development programs from initial concept through full production.
Develop strategic plans to increase development velocity, quality, and delivery for satellite constellation projects.
Hire, onboard, and coach the TPM team to develop their technical capabilities and performance.
Field escalations and negotiate priorities across workstreams and stakeholder groups to resolve program conflicts.
Partner with engineering teams to drive technical trades and solutions for system, subsystem, and component levels.
Formulate new product introduction plans including DFM, manufacturing processes, and automated test system development.
Write and present data-driven narratives to influence and inform key executive decision makers.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience in technical program management.
3+ years experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in delivery of products involving hardware and software.
5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients (preferred).
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules (preferred).
