Manager, Localization Technology joins the Retail Engagement, Marketing and Merchandising team to lead the design, implementation, and refinement of an AI-powered language technology stack. This role focuses on building a scalable localization production ecosystem for dynamic content generation and global immediacy. The individual will manage the architecture of translation management systems, machine translation, and AI services while integrating these into enterprise content platforms. Key responsibilities include developing automation solutions for content intake, defining internationalization strategies, and establishing technical governance across various platforms. The role requires expertise in CAT tools, APIs, orchestration layers, and CMS integrations like Adobe Experience Manager. The position addresses the challenge of managing complex, high-impact content landscapes by leveraging emerging technologies such as LLMs and post-editing frameworks to ensure quality, speed, and scalability for global retail and people organizations.
Design and implement an AI-powered localization technology stack integrating machine translation, LLMs, and automated workflows.
Develop the end-to-end localization strategy by integrating TMS, CMS, and various AI services into scalable systems.
Create automation solutions for content intake, routing, file handling, and quality assurance reporting at scale.
Establish technical governance, standards, and best practices across all localization platforms and integration points.
Define and monitor performance metrics and KPIs to optimize the localization technology ecosystem.
Lead organizational change management and adoption strategies for new localization technologies and tools.
Manage and mentor a team of Localization Producers supporting language technology solutions.
Influence senior stakeholders by developing business cases and roadmaps for emerging localization technologies.
What we're looking for
15+ years of experience in localization technology, language engineering, or enterprise content platforms within global consumer brands.
10+ years of experience in a people leadership role managing and mentoring teams.
Proven track record of leading multi-million dollar enterprise localization platform implementations including TMS selection, RFP processes, and vendor management.
Experience connecting CMS platforms to translation management systems and MT providers through APIs and orchestration layers.
Verifiable history of delivering localization or enterprise-level tools by authoring business requirements, metrics, and user stories for engineering teams.
Experience leading large cross-functional programs with engineering, product, legal, procurement, and security teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Linguistics, Localization, or a related technical discipline.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Localization, or related field (preferred); experience managing global vendors and budgets (preferred).
