JOB TITLE: Manager, Localization Technology
The Manager, Localization Technology leads the localization technology strategy and platform ecosystem for the Retail Engagement, Marketing and Merchandising team. This role involves designing, implementing, and refining an AI-powered language technology stack to support dynamic content generation and global immediacy. Key responsibilities include owning the architecture for scalable localization workflows, integrating translation management systems, machine translation, and AI services into enterprise content systems. The position requires managing a team of Localization Producers and collaborating with cross-functional partners to automate content intake, routing, and quality assurance. Required skills include experience with TMS, CAT tools, APIs, and CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager. The role solves the technical challenge of modernizing localization production for high-impact retail content through automation, orchestration, and emerging language technologies like LLMs and post-editing frameworks.
Design and evolve the end-to-end localization technology strategy and scalable architecture.
Integrate TMS, CMS, machine translation, and AI services into resilient production workflows.
Lead internationalization strategy and define quality assurance programs throughout the software development lifecycle.
Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and develop business cases for measurable operational value.
Design and implement workflow automation for content intake, routing, and quality assurance.
Establish technical governance, standards, and best practices across all localization platforms.
Define and monitor platform performance metrics and operational KPIs to optimize the technology ecosystem.
Lead and mentor a team of Localization Producers supporting language technology solutions.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in localization technology, language engineering, or enterprise content platforms within global consumer technology or high-profile brands.
7+ years of experience in a people leadership role managing and mentoring teams.
Track record of leading multi-million dollar enterprise localization platform implementations including TMS selection, RFP processes, and global deployment.
Experience connecting CMS platforms to translation management systems and MT providers through APIs and orchestration layers.
History of delivering localization or enterprise-level tools, including authoring business requirements, metrics, and user stories for engineering and UI/UX teams.
Experience leading large cross-functional programs partnering with engineering, product, legal, procurement, and security.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Linguistics, Localization, or a related technical discipline.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Localization, or related field (preferred).
