What you'll do

Lead a team of engineers building the platform that allocates cloud costs to specific products and customers.
Manage the publication contract with Finance to ensure metrics are versioned, reproducible, and audit-ready for financial closing.
Establish and manage metric contracts with internal platform teams to ensure accurate cost data reporting.
Partner with Revenue Engineering to join cost data with revenue figures to determine profit margins.
Drive continuous improvements in the accuracy and coverage of product and customer cost mapping.
Reduce key-person risk by distributing ownership across the team and integrating AI tools into the workflow.
Define technical roadmaps and negotiate boundaries with stakeholders without a dedicated product manager.

What we're looking for

Experience leading data platform or data engineering teams building batch and pipeline systems focused on correctness and reproducibility.
Experience shipping versioned publications with effective dates, backfill capabilities, and reproducible history.
Proven ability to hold delivery commitments with teams outside of your direct reporting line.
Domain experience in metering, usage-based billing, cloud cost, revenue data, or financial data platforms.
Ability to manage the roadmap and negotiate contracts independently without a product manager in the loop.
Experience managing systems audited by Finance, such as those involving SOX scope, month-end close, or revenue recognition.
Experience building graph datasets or retrieval-grounded systems where every answer cites its source.
