Engineering Manager II

What you'll do

• Manage, coach, and grow a diverse team of engineers to foster technical excellence and accountability.
• Define and execute ambitious technical roadmaps in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Lead deep-dive architectural designs for scalable distributed systems and core applications.
• Drive the delivery of complex projects in ambiguous environments while ensuring system sustainability.
• Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, system reliability, and engineering metrics.
• Communicate technical insights and roadmaps to leadership and global partners to align on shared goals.
• Review metrics, incidents, and post-mortems to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of total experience in software engineering.
• At least 2-3 years of experience directly managing engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to translate company direction into a strategic mission rooted in primary customer needs.
• Experience providing clarity to direct and dependent teams to maintain productivity and alignment.
• Track record of building inclusive teams with a mix of skills and seniority to deliver against business needs.
• Experience driving operational excellence through the review of metrics, incidents, and post-mortems.
• High technical depth in building and scaling distributed systems, machine learning applications, or global platforms (preferred).
