What you'll do

  • Develop and improve documentation standards and processes in collaboration with the community and internal teams.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear content for developers, SREs, and other end users.
  • Manage documentation as code using Git/GitHub and CI/CD tooling.

What we're looking for

  • You have 5-10 years of experience researching and developing documentation for technical topics like databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and security monitoring.
  • You have 2-5 years of experience managing a small team of technical writers and coaching their performance.
  • You must provide publicly available technical writing samples.
  • You are comfortable reading at least two programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Go, or bash.
  • You have experience with documentation as code and familiarity with Git/GitHub and CI/CD tooling.
  • You are familiar with modern infrastructure including IaaS cloud services and containers.
  • You can collaborate with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to create robust technical content.
