Linux Kernel & Virtualization SW Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop core CPU and SoC features for the Linux kernel.
• Enable AMD x86-64 architecture features within the Linux kernel.
• Develop features and roadmaps for ACPI, PCIe, RAS, and CXL subsystems.
• Drive functionality and support for internal and external partner technical teams.
• Review code, build unit tests, and write detailed technical documentation.
• Submit patches and manage upstream development workflows for open-source projects.
• Debug kernel subsystems and virtualization using low-level tools, emulators, and simulators.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience.
• Extensive expertise in x86 computing architecture (preferred).
• Proven experience across the entire software development lifecycle (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of kernels, virtualization, and security (preferred).
• Advanced Linux Kernel debugging skills across kernel subsystems and virtualization (preferred).
• Advanced programming skills in C for operating system kernel and systems development (preferred).
• Experience with open source software development, building and submitting patches, and working with external partners (preferred).
