Kernel / Linux Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Enable AMD x86-64 architecture features within the Linux kernel.
• Design and develop core CPU and SoC features for the Linux kernel.
• Develop and optimize virtualization features, including KVM and QEMU.
• Manage memory management, performance, and scalability for server software.
• Perform low-level bringup and manage interactions with Linux distributions.
• Contribute to and upstream code for open-source projects and mailing lists.
• Debug kernel subsystems and virtualization components using low-level tools.
• Develop system-level software using C and the GNU toolchain.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in x86 computing architecture (preferred).
• Proven experience in the software development lifecycle (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of kernels, virtualization, and security (preferred).
• Successful track record in contributions to open-source projects, particularly Linux KVM and open-source VMMs like QEMU (preferred).
• Linux Kernel debugging skills across kernel subsystems and virtualization (preferred).
• Advanced programming skills in C for operating system kernel and systems development (preferred).
