What you'll do

  • Administer and maintain Red Hat Linux servers and workstations within a mixed Windows environment.
  • Perform system patching and STIG hardening to ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 standards.
  • Resolve technical support tickets and provide end-user assistance at the desktop level.
  • Develop, monitor, and document policies and standards for computing resources.
  • Evaluate vendor products and provide hardware and software recommendations to program leadership.
  • Lead local IT projects and communicate technical solutions to management and engineering teams.
  • Provide managerial oversight for on-site system administrators, including performance evaluations and budget management.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, a graduate degree with 4 years of experience, or no degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • 8 years of experience in Red Hat Linux administration and networking (TCP/IP, network interfaces, subnets).
  • 8 years of experience in shell scripting, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity practices including patch management and STIG compliance.
  • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or any DoD 8140 approved certification (preferred).
  • Experience with LDAP, VMware, Citrix, Centrify, VDI, Samba, and NFS (preferred).
  • Experience with automation and enterprise deployment tools like Satellite, Ansible, and Kickstart (preferred).
  • U.S. citizens.
