What you'll do

  • Administer physical and virtual infrastructure on UNIX-based hosts in complex heterogeneous environments.
  • Configure and deploy hardware devices including HP, Super Micro, and Dell servers and blade platforms.
  • Manage servers across multiple locations including Linux systems and VMware in critical production environments.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues affecting service availability.
  • Perform server PXE installations, kickstart configurations, patching, and package management.
  • Configure Veritas clusters and Pacemaker for high availability.
  • Use Ansible for configuration management and Docker/Kubernetes for microservices.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for engineers regarding process and technical issues.

What we're looking for

  • Must have 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have 5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have cross-platform knowledge of UNIX operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
  • Must have in-depth familiarity and strong troubleshooting skills in Unix operations.
  • Must have experience administering physical and virtual infrastructure UNIX-based hosts in complex heterogeneous environments.
  • Must have experience configuring and deploying hardware like HP DL/BL Series, Super Micro, and Dell servers.
  • Must have knowledge of storage technologies, SAN, RAID, and Datacenter Operations.
  • Must have knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Veritas cluster, and Pacemaker.
