What you'll do

Lead the planning of software development tasks including design, coding, and multi-level testing of user stories.
Oversee the architecture, prototyping, and development of mission computing and software modernization systems.
Translate system-level requirements into specific software requirements to meet Navy customer capabilities.
Provide cross-team architecture guidance and estimate new business opportunities for P-8 Mission Systems Software.
Perform system-level analyses to identify risks and lead the implementation of mitigation actions.
Conduct code reviews to ensure all software aligns with technical requirements and established standards.
Mentor junior engineers and establish documented procedures for design, testing, and execution.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree required.
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a "U.S. Person."
8+ years of experience in software systems engineering, systems architecture, or embedded software development.
4+ years of experience with Java or C++.
Bachelor of Science in a relevant technical field and 9+ years of work experience (preferred).
Bachelor's Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience (preferred).
17+ years of related, relevant experience (preferred).
