Lead Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, debug, and document full-stack applications using Java, Spring microservices, and React.
• Lead complex technology initiatives and projects that have a broad impact across the company.
• Develop and implement companywide best practices for engineering large-scale technology solutions.
• Manage CI/CD build pipelines, container platforms, and automated deployments for cloud-native applications.
• Perform root-cause analysis, incident response, and production support to ensure system stability.
• Enforce secure coding practices, release governance, and audit readiness for all software deliverables.
• Resolve complex technical issues by consulting with senior technology experts and external industry groups.
• Coordinate across engineering, product, QA, and infrastructure teams to manage dependencies and drive ownership.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring-based microservices, REST APIs, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern UI development (preferred).
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications using YAML, Gradle, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot build, configuration, and environment issues (preferred).
• Proven ability to drive work across application, platform, product, testing, architecture, and infrastructure teams (preferred).
• Strong focus on secure coding, code quality, release controls, observability, audit readiness, and incident management (preferred).
• Ability to lead complex technology initiatives and act as a key participant in developing companywide engineering standards.
• Ability to design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
